My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Apollo was adopted as a puppy in 2018. He was well loved and cared for by a wonderful member of the dog community here in WA. Unfortunately, due to a tragic accident, his owner passed away and Apollo returned to the rescue. We are committed to finding him a new home that will uphold the standard of love and care Apollo received from his previous owner. Apollo is crate trained, house trained, and friendly with other dogs. In true Doberman form, he can be watchful of strangers, but does make friends easily. Apollo has great manners inside and outside the home, and will be a wonderful companion to one lucky family.

Foster Update:

Apollo is a loyal and intelligent dog looking for a calm, committed home where he can truly bond with his person. He thrives as an only pet and would do best with someone who understands the value of patience and trust. Once you've earned his loyalty, Apollo is deeply devoted and eager to please.

In the home, Apollo is easy to live with. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, knows all his basic commands and walks beautifully on leash. He prefers a quiet environment and enjoys having his own space, especially when it comes to interactions with other dogs. While he currently lives alongside other canines, he does not actively seek their company and would rather do his own thing.

Apollo needs a home without cats or small animals due to his high prey drive. With the right person by his side, Apollo has all the makings of a wonderful, steadfast companion. If you're looking for a dog who wants to build a meaningful, one-on-one connection, Apollo may be the perfect match.

Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application

Animal History: Apollo is a WA state owner surrender who joined our rescue on 04/26/25.
