Our precious Cody, based on his adventures, has made a list of what would be his perfect family. Parent(s) that were kind & loving, giving him lots of cuddle time. Kind & gentle older kids would be good addition. A cat(s) is okay, not too vocal preferred. A dog would be welcomed as a companion who is welcoming and does not bark at him (size is not a determining factor as a small Carin terrier frightened him). A home in a quiet area with a fenced in yard would be essential. Cody loves car rides but if he is your only passenger he is not comfortable with truck traffic.

I think you can see a pattern; loud noise is a stress trigger. But Cody is just the sweetest pup and would shower you with unconditional love if you can provide him with the home & family he needs.

Whitey's Only Wish is a 501(c)(3) Rescue. In honor of Whitey, my precious baby Chow Chow,

In 2011, Whitey was rushed to the ER where the Vet said I needed to prepare as she would not be coming home. I sat by her side in the hospital for three days, promising her if she got better we would help puppies in need. Against all odds she did recover. So in an attempt to keep my promise, and honor her memory our Rescue helps furbabies in need, taking in a Mom & her litter as well as orphaned litters.

I decided in August 2016 to start Whitey's Only Wish Rescue, and it was recognized as a 501(c)(3) in that same month! Whitey is now 14 years old and since her recovery has been a surrogate Mom to more than 200 puppies. Her assistant, Kodie, our 12 year old shepherd/Rottie, helps with the mission as well.
