A Love Letter from Clay
Dear Future Human,
I may look tough on the outside, but my heart is very soft.
I’ve been through more than most dogs should ever have to endure, and because of that, I’m learning what it truly means to feel safe, loved, and chosen.
I love car rides — they make me feel like I belong somewhere special.
I enjoy playing outside and soaking up the sunshine, and at the end of the day, I really just want to be close to my person.
Kids are my favorite. I do best with older ones who understand that I sometimes get excited and forget my size — I just have so much love to give.
I’ve met toddlers, teens, grandparents, and adults, and I’ve done beautifully with patient, kind humans.
Because of my past, loud voices and chaos can make me nervous. I do best with people who lead calmly and help me feel secure. Once I trust you, I will give you my whole heart.
I’d be happiest as the only dog — or maybe with just one calm canine friend — in a home that understands boundaries and structure.
I’m loyal. I’m affectionate. I’m sensitive.
I don’t need perfection… I just need someone experienced, patient, and willing to love a dog who is learning that the world can be safe again.

We are foster based so once you find a pet either online or at one of our adoption events please submit an application bit.ly/BellesBudsApp
Interview
Once the application is processed we will set up a phone interview and meet and greet (depending on your location).
Meet the Pet
Once the application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet. This varies either at your house, with your pet, or at fosters house.
Home Check
We require either a home video/pictures or a home visit.
Sign Adoption Contract
If all goes well with application and meet and greet and we determine your home is the right fit for the dog, we have a contract to sign.
Pay Fee
Our adoption fee goes towards the dogs vetting. All dogs leave fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered (if old enough)
