Meet George — Professional Paw-Eater & Full-Time Attention Inspector

George is a 4-year-old tabby mix who refuses to eat like a “normal” cat. Nope. This distinguished gentleman insists on scooping up his food with his paws like he’s dining at a five-star restaurant. Very classy. Very messy. Very George.

He LOVES attention and will monitor you closely to make sure you’re giving him the recommended daily amount (which is… all of it). Give him a few pets and congratulations—you now have a furry shadow. He’s your best buddy whether you asked for one or not.

If you want a cat with personality, charm, and questionable table manners, George is ready to move in.

People can visit our adoptable pets at our adoption center on Amelia Island at 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034. We are open Tuesday - Thursday 11 am - 5 pm, Friday 11 am - 6 pm, and Saturday - Sunday 11 am - 4 pm. Showings stop 30 minutes before close.

We are a no kill rescue and adoption shelter on Amelia Island Florida. We provide Animal Control services for the City of Fernandina Beach. We have the only off-leash dog park on the Island and we also operate two resale stores.
