My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amadeus is a Husky-Shepherd mix is as striking as he is sweet, with one brown eye, one blue eye, and fluffy fur that makes his curled tail stand out. He is protective, funny, and full of personality, with plenty of energy to run and play. True to his breed, he can be stubborn and very vocal, but he makes up for it with his loving nature and loyal spirit.

He is currently waiting for a safe place to go, whether foster or forever home so he can finally leave the desert behind. This boy will thrive with a family who understands vocal, independent dogs and who can offer him patience, structure, and lots of love. In return, he’ll bring laughter, companionship, and the joy only a Husky-Shepherd mix can give.

More about this rescue

At Finding Meadows, our name says it all. We find hope where others see none.

Every day, we search the desert and rural areas of the Borderland, rescuing abandoned and stray animals left to fend for themselves. Many of these pets are dumped with no food, no water, and no shelter but we’re there to give them the love they once gave their family.

Our mission:

Rescue animals from the desert and streets

Feed, spay/neuter abandoned pets

Provide medical care, foster homes, and love

Match them with forever families where they can thrive

We work hand in hand with fosters, volunteers, and partners like Living Border / Frontera Viva to fight the animal crisis affecting our entire region. Together, we’re creating real change one rescue at a time.

When you adopt from Finding Meadows, you’re not just saving a life, you’re giving hope where it was lost.
