From Mahi Mahi and Albacore`s foster mom: `Mahi-Mahi is definitely the more outgoing of the two - nothing seems to faze him. He was exploring his new digs right from the get-go, not afraid to get up close to people, climbing up in the tower and looking around. Albacore started off much more timid - he didn`t come out from under his tower for the first day he was here. But now he seems much more comfortable and lets the girls pet him and feed him veggies. We haven`t found a fresh veggie they don`t enjoy - celery, spinach, lettuce, cilantro, parsley, carrots, even small portions of fennel. They love it!
Mahi-Mahi is also something of an escape artist! I found him this morning outside his enclosure even though it was fully closed (and Albacore was still inside). He must have jumped from the top platform of his tower, which was up against one side of the 36` high enclosure. Wild! He was unharmed and seemed happy to be reunited with Albacore (we opened the gate and put some fresh veggies inside and he ran right in).`

Adoption fees range from $56-$86. This includes vaccines, flea/tick protection, health exam at local veterinary clinic, collar,leash, 50% discount on spay/neuter. Altering is done at the time of adoption, prior to the pet going home.
There is an application for adoption, a 24 hour hold and an adoption contract.

We are located in Williamsburg, VA. Our adoption center is open 6 days a week from 12 noon - 4:30 pm, and we are closed on Mondays for deep clean.
