My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you love hounds with big hearts and curious minds, Chip might be your perfect match. This handsome boy is incredibly sweet and adores people, gentle pets, and exploring the world around him.

Chip has made great progress learning indoor life — he rarely barks, is comfortable in his crate, and is quickly improving on leash. He’s playful, goofy, and very much a puppy in a big body, with endless (and endearing) curiosity. Sniffing, exploring, and checking out new things are his favorite hobbies, so enrichment and supervision will keep him happy.

Chip is looking for a patient, loving home that understands young hound energy and is ready to help him continue building confidence and independence. If you’re searching for a sweet, loyal companion with big-hearted charm, Chip is ready to meet you!

Chip is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. You can meet him daily at the shelter between 12-6pm. For more information, email adoptions@caspca.org

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
