My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet McFly!
4-Year-Old • Terrier • 26 Pounds

McFly is a resilient boy with a tender heart, looking for a fresh start. This 4-year-old terrier came to us from a hoarding situation, where he was thrown outside with 11 other dogs and left to fend for himself. Despite his difficult past, McFly’s sweetness shines through—he truly wants to trust people and be loved.

He will need help with potty training and continued guidance as he learns what it means to be part of a family. Because of his history, he does have some food aggression, so he’ll need an adopter who can support him as he works through that.

McFly may have had a rough beginning, but with the right person by his side, he has every chance to blossom into the loving companion he’s always wanted to be. Could you be the one to give him that second chance? 🐾

Adoption fee is: $350

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
