Bernie is approximately 4 years old-she is a purebred (not papered) female corgi. Bernie came to us heavily pregnant from a backyard breeding situation. She gave birth to 6 puppies -and is now ready for a home of her own. She does well with other dogs, people and older children. She has been fostered at Mattox Dog Training/ Service Peace Warriors. She has a good understanding of basic manners and will thrive in a home where she is included as a family member. We do give preference to a home with fully fenced yard but with a proper exercise and potty routine, we will consider an apartment/condo

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.
Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.
