My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is Fluffy. Apologies, if I appear a little rough around the edges. You see, this life has been unkind to me. All I’ve ever known is how to survive. I have spent most of my kitten-hood scrounging for food and trying to keep safe from the elements. Moving from bush to bush, to living under houses, I simply hoped that I would make it to the next day. And, as is common with life on the streets, I found myself pregnant at a very young age. Malnourished and on my last ounce of life, I put everything into trying to raise and protect my little ones. But by some miracle, we were picked up and brought inside.

The last few weeks at my foster home have been eye opening. I was introduced to toys. I like toys. They are quite fun and make me feel happy and excited. I also don’t have to beg or fight for food and water. It’s weird having a full belly every night. And the beds are warm and cozy. I often wonder why I wasn’t born an inside cat. Why was I thrown to the side and ignored? I know I can be scraggly and unkept, but I am kind and patient. They say that I am inherently bad luck and that I should be tossed back outside. But I do not want to go back outside. I want to stay where it is warm and safe. I want a home to call my own. I want to play and purr. Roll on my back with my belly up. I want to love and be loved. I know I am a good cat.

But they say it will be hard for me. I am not a cute kitten anymore. I am past my prime and will have to wait to be passed up until I am forgotten again. But do I not deserve a chance too?  Will you give me that chance? Will you be my forever home?

MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Go to  https://www.kittenrescue101.org/adopt/available-cats and Click "adopt" on the cat's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process.

2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days with an appointment time slot. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament. We cannot call back every applicant with an update. You will receive a call if your application is selected. Thank you for your understanding.

More about this rescue

We are a small home based rescue serving the San Joaquin & Bay Area. It is our mission to rescue cats and kittens and provide them with supportive medical care, socialization, food, shelter to reduce unnecessary suffering. All of our kittens/cats are rescues and we try our best to place them into adoptable homes. Without human intervention, many of these cats & kittens would suffer from disease, starvation, death or live outdoors the remainder of their lives- afraid of humans. With a little bit of help, socialization, and lots of love, they come to learn and seek human attention and affection. We believe that all animals deserve a chance at life.
