Not all kings or princes are seated on golden thrones, nor do they necessarily reside in palaces. At least one such person resides here at Golden Paws disguised as an 8 1/2-year-old domestic shorthaired cat.
My name is Buck, and I am searching for a new squire to take care of my domestic needs. I am a male, domestic shorthaired cat and am tan or fawn in color. As you can see from my photograph, I am brutally handsome, with riveting eyes and a fine moustache. And, despite what you might hear, I do like Hoomans, but only on my terms. I am, on occasion, very friendly, and love to be petted on. In return, I will give you blinks, headbutts and purrs. But at some point, I will tell you, with my body language, that that’s enough and I would like for you to stop. If you get the message, great. If you don’t, well, not so great. That is why I don’t like being with children. They just don’t get the message.
I think I would make a great cat for someone who just wants a companion and will understand that I don’t necessarily want to be drowned with affection all the time. I would also need to be kept inside of my forever home. This is because #1, I am very territorial which is not a great thing outside, and #2, it is much safer to be inside.
I will guarantee you, however, that when you receive that mutual affection and respect from me, it’s something you can be proud of; because you’ve earned it. In exchange, I will be the best companion you’ve ever had.
So how about it? I’ve had all my shots, I’ve been neutered, and I’m ready to go to my new forever castle.
