My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is a black and tan Dachshund/Chiweenie mix. She's 14 yrs and a robust 14 lbs. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Bella is fostered in the greater Jacksonville, FL area. Submit an adoption application on our website:
https://www.fawnssmalldogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/bella

Bella is a sweet and feisty beauty! Don't let her age fool you, she may be 14 but she doesn't let a number slow her down. She's an energetic lady who enjoys going for walks, especially sniffy trail adventures. She likes to explore swiftly and sniff leisurely. She's doing wonderful with house and potty training, she's best with a regular schedule.

Bella is a clever girl who loves chews and squeaky toys. She occasionally resources guards toys from her doggie friends, she's very correctible. She's currently fostered with a Spaniel, a Chi-mix, and a cat. She does best with dog-savvy cats as she occasionally wants to play chase with a feline friend. She does best with other dogs when she's had a proper introduction.

This diva Dachshund mix likes cozy couch cuddles and soft blankets to burrow in. She knows that all blankets are for sharing, if you have a blanket, so does Bella. She'll happily dive right under it, she's the perfect TV and chill buddy.

Bella may be an independent lady, she loves her people though! She previously lived with children, that were 10+ years and older. She does well with dog-savvy, respectful people of all sizes.

Bella's ideal home has someone who's around at least part of the day. She thrives on regular routine, especially for house and potty training success. She enjoys other small/medium dogs, she can be placed with a dog-savvy cat. She's rated for families with respectful, dog-savvy kids, ideally 12+ years or older. Given her Dachshund and Chihuahua traits, she'd do best in a home with adopters who are familiar with sassy, feisty small dogs.
