Meet Zappos, a unique cat with a blend of shyness and curiosity. He enjoys his independence, often exploring corners of the shelter with a careful, investigative gaze. Despite his reserved nature, Zappos has a gentle soul and warms up to those who respect his space. He thrives in a calm environment where he can explore at his own pace. Adopting Zappos means gaining a quietly loyal companion who will enrich your home with his subtle, inquisitive presence.

More about this shelter
We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
