My foster writes: Yes! Oreo is a very special and handsome boy with lots of endearing quirks. He's not afraid of water, which is quite unique for a cat. While he may be a little shy and independent at first, after just a few days he turns into a total cuddle buddy who loves to sleep with you at night. He enjoys all kinds of petting - even belly rubs - and happily accepts daily kisses and nail clipping. Oreo prefers drinking from flowing water rather than a bowl, and he's content with just his dry food (not into canned food or treats). Overall, he's a chill, affectionate, and very lovable companion.
A volunteer writes: Oreo likes to sit at the front of his condo like he's about to welcome everyone inside, but when I opened the door, he became very sweetly, gently, and even relatably flustered at what to do next. Letting him take the lead, Oreo chose to complete a thorough sniffing and then scurry back into his little cubby to think about things. I get it - there's just a lot going on. After carefully considering all the choices before him, Oreo elected to come forward for some treats. In his previous home Oreo was known to eat any kind of treat. A friendly and chirpy little lapcat, Oreo enjoyed being around people and was an avid sportscat. Inventively playing hide and seek with water, Oreo seems totally poised to do it all. It's just that the shelter can be a lot and he could use a hand when it comes to figuring it all out. We hope you'll come and give this special boy a chance.
