My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Like his namesake from Yogi the Bear, Boo Boo is the quieter, more thoughtful type. He may not be sneaking picnic baskets, but he is on the lookout for a cozy forever home where he can feel safe and loved.

At first, Boo Boo might hang back and observe the world from a comfy corner-but give him time, a little kindness, and maybe a soft blanket, and you'll see his sweet, snuggly side shine through. He's the kind of kitten who forms deep bonds with the people who earn his trust, and he's full of gentle affection once he feels at home.

Boo Boo would thrive in a calm, patient household, possibly with another mellow feline friend to help him come out of his shell.

So if you're ready to be the Yogi to this little Boo Boo, he's ready to follow you anywhere - especially if there are treats involved!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
