My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moonshine!
This “big little lady” loves people, loves dogs,
and wants to be part of the action. She’ll follow you around with a “what are we doing next?” vibe, not anxiously—just happily.

Moonshine is crate trained, sleeps through the night, snuggles like a champ, and also enjoys her independent couch time. She’s playful, silly, and guaranteed to make you smile. She’s a classic young pup who may carry your shoes around but is respectful in the house.

She’s smart, treat-motivated, proud of her new “down” and “paw,” and will thrive with continued training, socialization, and daily exercise.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal young dog who’s past the hardest puppy stages, come meet Moonshine!

Estimate estimated mature weight is about 65+ pounds, no guarantees.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/

More about this rescue
