This little girl may be small, but she has the biggest heart and she’s determined to show the world just how special she is. At only 1 year and 9 months old, Olive’s life took an unexpected turn when she suddenly lost the ability to walk. A neurologist confirmed that her condition is congenital, and sadly, surgery isn’t an option. But don’t worry, Olive hasn’t let that stop her one bit! She zips around in her wheelchair, spreading joy and proving every day that life can still be sweet and full of adventure.
Olive is playful, cuddly, and full of personality. She thrives on affection and loves curling up with her people, but she also enjoys exploring and zooming around with her curious spirit. Her silly little quirks, like nuzzling herself into the corner of her bed and guarding it like her personal throne will keep you smiling. And if you’ve got treats, well… you’ve officially won her heart. Olive is very food motivated and makes it known with her determined “treat face” the second she hears a bag crinkle!
She does well with other dogs (though she’s not a fan of overly pushy pups in her space) and has even gone on a field trip to an Airbnb, where she was the perfect houseguest and reveled in all the extra-soft pillows. Olive does need a bit of extra care, her bladder and bowels must be expressed, something we can teach you easily. It may sound like a lot, but to Olive it’s just part of her routine, and she’ll reward your love and patience with endless devotion and snuggles.
Olive would do best in a home where her person isn’t gone for long hours, ideally with someone who has experience with special-needs dogs or is ready to learn. She’s gentle, sweet, and endlessly endearing - truly one of those dogs who stays with you forever in your heart. Olive is so worthy of a life filled with love, softness, and joy. Could you be the one to give it to her? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
