Approximate Age: 5 years
Approximate Weight: 26 lbs
Dad Bod was treated for Heartworms on 11/19 and 11/20. He may test positive for up to a year post treatment.
Dadbod (or Dobby as his foster family calls him) has made tremendous progress but will need an adopter who is calm, patient and willing to give him time.
He would be ok with dog savvy older kids.
Even with a fenced in yard he should be leashed walked until he is very very comfortable with you. He is very much a flight risk.
He has found his voice, and now demands food and to go outside. His foster momma thinks his bark is cute, but probably not the best fit for an apartment (unless you have very forgiving neighbors...)
He doesn't care about the cats in his foster home, and has started playing with the dogs. He has shown to be a little possessive of his stuff, so feed him separately.
He has started playing with toys! He prefers the crinkly ones.
He does not love the car, he will not be the kind of dog you can put in the car and take out to social events.
His crate is his safe space, and he is content to lay in it most of the day. However he has started napping on the couch with the people and dogs in his foster home.
You can still come adopt me or even join our foster program to help the humans learn all the awesome things about new dogs like me! Learn more on our website!
