Looking for an animal friend who is soft and warm like a fresh baked loaf of bread? Then sweet Sophie is your girl! Calm and easygoing, 9-year old Sophie is a chill companion looking for a quieter forever family to spend her golden years alongside. But don’t think just because she’s gotten up in her years that she isn’t without adorable quirks! She LOVES being brushed and purrs like a motorcycle once you start brushing. Not feeling like giving her a brush? Then she’ll gladly accept your best drum solo of pats on her backside and belly, melting into a contented mush all the same! She loves a good patting so much that she’ll politely meow at you to follow her before leading you to her favorite spot on the floor. Her foster parents find it so funny how she’s just a bit particular about WHERE she gets her affection, she’s a cat who knows what she wants! Though a bit of a diva when it comes to affection, Sophie is overall a kind, gentle giant who is well-mannered and not at all mischievous, preferring to live a mellow lifestyle lounging in all of her favorite spots.
Due to having a bit of a reserved demeanor, she tends to get startled more easily by quick movement or loud noises, so she would do best in a home without a lot of commotion or bustling activity, meaning no young children, dogs or other cats. She’s also working with her foster family to lose a few pounds, but for the time being, there’s just more of her to love!
Adoption fee: $100, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip

We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer
