To say Rocky had a 'rocky' start is an understatement. Surrendered to Tri State with a full-blown case of Parvo, Rocky spent his first few weeks with us recovering from this deadly disease. True to his namesake, he is a fighter!! He sailed through treatment with spirit and dedication, revealing the loving soul that was hidden under his illness. Based on his past, Rocky will need a patient adopter willing to give him the time and space he needs to learn to be confident. He is so worth whatever time it takes and we have seen tremendous progress during his time with us.
Now able to enjoy his youth, Rocky will require a fenced yard to contain his boundless energy. He would love a canine sparring partner, because it’s no fun shadow boxing alone. Rocky would adore being by your side through thick and thin. Devoted and gentle, Rocky will become your champion in no time. If you are looking for a fellow that will always have your back, then Rocky is waiting for you at life’s ringside. Let the match begin!!!!
If Rocky strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Rocky is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application.

TRI STATE COLLIE RESCUE VOLUNTEERS have been professional breeders and dog show exhibitors, and we have more then 50 years of combined professional experience with the collie breed. In addition, our group includes devoted collie owners and lovers. We are listed as a recognized rescue group with the COLLIE CLUB OF AMERICA
OUR MISSION:
To end the indiscriminate breeding practices of irresponsible breeders, to educate the public about the lifetime responsibilities of caring for a pet, including the necessity of spaying and neutering, and to promote the return of undying love and devotion collies offer their owners. Too many purebred collies are found as strays, in dog shelters, or in the humane societies. We hope to eliminate the euthanasia of these collies.
"Just when you think there are no angels, a collie comes into your life"
