My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flurry is a sweet, spirited girl who brings sunshine wherever she goes. These days, her favorite pastime is showing off her athletic side — she loves leaping high into the air for feather wand toys, springing up with all the enthusiasm of a kitten.

One of Flurry’s greatest joys is other cats. Truly, she hasn’t met a cat she doesn’t like. Even if another cat needs a little time to warm up, she reads the room beautifully and knows when to back off. Once they’re ready, she’s right there offering friendship, playtime, and gentle companionship. Because she thrives on feline company, she absolutely needs a cat friend in her forever home.

Around people, Flurry is just as endearing. She’ll stroll around you in soft little circles, politely asking for pets and soaking up affection. She’s also a girl who appreciates comfort — give her a big, cozy cat bed, and she’ll happily curl up like she owns the place. And when mealtime rolls around, she’ll remind you that wet food is one of her great loves.

Flurry is the perfect match for a home looking for a friendly, playful, cat-loving companion who brings warmth and harmony wherever she goes. She’s ready to be someone’s cherished girl — ideally with a feline buddy by her side.

This cat attends adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center on Saturdays from 10am to 2:30pm and Sundays from 12pm to 3pm.

Flurry has been waiting for her new home for way too long, so we`ve made her an Angel`s Wish Forget-Me-Not and her fee is reduced to $25.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.

More about this rescue

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.

Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.
