Elton is super playful and full of energy, especially when it comes to his favorite game of fetch! He’s a people-friendly guy and gets along well with female dogs, but like a true star, he prefers his toys all to himself—no sharing for this boy! It's best to take up his toys, or he might 'love them to death' with chewing. When it's time to relax, Elton is chill, staying quiet and peaceful in his kennel. He knows basic commands and is a pro at working the doggy door, ready to make his way into your heart. If you’re ready for a loyal companion with a playful spirit, Elton is waiting for you!

The adoption fee for dogs includes vaccinations (DA2PLP+CV, Bordatella, Rabies) spaying/neutering, heartworm check, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea preventative, and microchip.

The adoption fee for cats includes a full exam (feleck/FIV tested, FVRCP), spaying/ neutering, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative.

If you wish to adopt a pet you will need to fill out an adoption application. You can either pick one up at the shelter or email the shelter to request an application be emailed to you.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips.
