My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

USE THIS LINK TO APPLY: bit.ly/wrkct

Simba is a high-energy, people-loving working cat who is looking for an outdoor or indoor/outdoor home where he can stay busy and put his drive to good use. He’s incredibly playful, thrives on interactive play sessions, and absolutely goes wild for a laser pointer chase. Simba is curious with new people and enjoys being around his humans, but he does best with experienced handlers who understand playful, mouthy cat behavior and can give him the structure and outlets he needs. If you’re looking for an active barn, workshop, or property companion who will keep rodents on their toes and bring big character to their job, Simba is ready to clock in.

***Working Cat Program***

The Maryland SPCA is helping cats who aren't suited for a traditional home environment. The purpose of this program is to offer a safe home and a more comfortable life to cats that wouldn't otherwise thrive in our adoption program. As a Working Cat, the adoption fee will be waived.

Barns, warehouses, breweries, garages a home residence with indoor outdoor access are all examples of what a Working Cat would call home. These cats can provide a valuable service by keeping rodents away; the all-natural way!
