My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Bruce Wayne. I am a shepherd possibly mixed with super hero. I’m 9 months old, neutered, microchipped, have had all of my puppy shots and my first rabies shot.
I am currently being fostered in a house full of animals… and I love playing with them all! I also love going on walks with my foster siblings.
Being in a house full of so many animals, I’m really used to having other dogs/cats around. I really think having at least one canine sibling to help me learn new things would be so much fun.
But, I also like to be close to my humans; underfoot or close by during the day. And, either on or under their bed or in my own soft bed nearby at night.
I’ve gotten really good at playing gently with kittens. But, I do like chewing on their toys.
I can be a little shy when you first meet me and scared in new situations but I’m learning to use my super powers to help me!
If you’re looking for a dog/super-hero, I could be your boy!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Arrangements can usually be made to meet most of our adoptable animals in Flagstaff. The process starts by filling out an application and returning it to to us through email. Some animals are fostered in Tuba City or other locations. We do attend some adoption events in Flagstaff.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue/foster group located in Tuba City, AZ, on the western Navajo Nation. We do not have a facility. We have two main programs: rescue of homeless animals in need, and a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public. We rely on donations to continue our work.
