Isa is a sweet, timid little soul who’s still figuring out that the world can be a safe and loving place. She’s only been with us for about a month, but shelter life has been overwhelming for her. Isa is now spending time in a quieter area to decompress and regain her confidence — and she’s already starting to show small signs of progress.
She walks well on leash with a little encouragement, and once she feels secure, her tail gives the tiniest, sweetest wags. Isa is gentle and polite with people, responding best to calm voices, soft pets, and a patient presence.
Recently, Isa met another dog during a play yard introduction. She was nervous at first and chose to keep her distance, but with time, she began to explore and move around more comfortably. Isa may benefit from sharing her space with another calm, respectful dog who can help her feel safe and model confidence — as long as she’s given the time and space she needs to adjust.
