If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Koda is a very sweet fun dog, that loves to play ball and frisbee, as well as hike. He is between 5 and 6 years old. I got Koda from a lady who had him from a puppy, but got divorced and could not keep him. He is still somewhat reactive to other dogs when hiking, though now he does pretty well unless the dog is off leash. My main reason for rehoming him is that he is too nervous around little children in my home. The smaller they are, the more nervous he seems to be. He does very well around my older grandchildren (5 and up) but I have had him nip a couple of times at toddlers, though he did not actually break any skin or touch them. However, I have too many children around to be able to have this happen. Koda would do very well in a home that did not usually have little kids in it. He is very much a dog that would be wonderful for someone that wanted a companion that would always be pretty close. He does do just fine when I need to leave him for several hours.
