My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Noctis – The Playful Lovebug You’ve Been Waiting For!

Noctis may sound like a mysterious name, but there’s nothing secretive about how much this guy loves people! This handsome boy is full of life, energy, and affection. Whether he’s chasing toys across the room or flopping over for pets, Noctis is always ready to bring joy to your day.

He lives for pets, head scratches, and being the center of attention. Got a wand toy? He’s on it. A free hand? More pets, please and thank you.

Noctis is social, playful, and incredibly loving—a perfect match for someone looking for a fun and cuddly companion.

If you want a cat who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Noctis is your guy. Come meet him—you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him!

Noctis is approximately 2-3 years old. His adoption fee is $150, plus tax.

More about this shelter

The Lakes Area Humane Society (LAHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens. These citizens wished to make a difference for the animals in our community and opened their homes to foster stray and unwanted animals. To help define their purpose, these dedicated people created the following mission statement; “The mission of the Lakes Area Humane Society is to promote responsible care and training for household pets through education and public awareness, and when appropriate, to provide a safe and sheltering haven for lost and abandoned animals pending placement in suitable permanent homes.”

The Lakes Area Humane Society provides many valuable services to our community. Some of our services include:

Ø impounding strays,
Ø assisting local law enforcement in abuse/neglect investigations,
Ø educating the public on spay/neuter programs to help reduce the number of unwanted pets,
Ø teaching the importance of appropriate pet care and training,
Ø providing shelter for animals whose owners are no longer able to care for them,
Ø reuniting lost pets with their owners, and
Ø facilitating adoptions of homeless animals to pet owners seeking life-long companions.
