Hi there! This is Crouton, a poodle mix, he is about 13 years old and weighs about 13 pounds, he showed up at animal control as a stray, unfortunately, his microchip did not lead to his family, he was very thin and not well.
He is getting to know his foster family but he follows his foster mom around the house and sitting next to her on the couch. He is deaf, but very alert, and watches everything going on around him. He is not house trained, he needs to wear a belly band, but will do great on walks. His meds causes him to need to urinate a lot, so it works best to have the use of the belly bands. He sleeps thru the night, getting all the rest he needs.
He has been diagnosed with IBS, so that means he needs to be on a special diet. He is on temporary meds until the IBS can be brought under control, it can be controlled with a good diet.
He does have a couple of growths that need to be removed, but the doctor does not think they are anything to worry about, so when that is done and he has gained some weight, he will be ready for adoption.
He does get along with the dogs in the foster home, but he will try to eat food that is not his, so it will be important to keep him separated at meal time.
