Let's be friends! My name is Max and I'm a very regal looking tan and black dog who is going to make a loyal and loving companion for someone. I'm a social boy who loves people and am eager to have you love and attention. I am also a very smart dog who already knows the cues for sit and down. And because I am so treat motivated, there is no end to what I can learn! I like to play a little, but if I am being totally honest, I am more of a cuddler. I will frequently lean into you, signaling that I am ready for some pets and scratches. I am really not into long walks -- I prefer working with a puzzle toy or just chewing on a bone. What I would really like is a home with a fenced in yard where I can just hang out in the shade or chill with my new best friend. I would prefer a home with no small dogs or cats. And if there is another laid-back do in the home, I would like to meet him or her before leaving the shelter.
