Favorites: Toys, treats, holding hands with people (seriously. I put my paw in peoples’ hands and we sit together like that!)

Training: Knows commands “sit” and “shake,” working on “lie down,” potty trained, does well for nail trims
Other important info about me: I can be a bit unsure with new people but that wears off after about two seconds; then I’m all about the pets and play time! I have lots of training already and a vibrant, goofy personality that I’m just dying to share with a family! I appear to do well with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are open Tues-Fri 8 am-4 pm and Sat 10 am-2 pm. If no one is at the shelter during open hours, please call 281-576-2417 for assistance.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require all adopters to spend time with the pet they are interested in to make sure he/she is a good match!

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adopters must sign an adoption contract, which may require rabies vaccine and/or spay/neuter for your new pet, if not already completed.

4.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary from $10-$50, depending on the pet. We accept cash (exact change required), check, or card.

5.
Take the Pet Home

And that's it! You are now the proud owner of a new furry family member and will take your pet home right away.

Additional adoption info

-We do not require an application to adopt! However, adopters are required to meet with pets at the shelter to ensure they are a good fit. Our staff will always strive to make the best possible matches between pets and adopters!
-Seniors for Seniors: Adopters age 65+ can adopt any pet age 7+ for free!
-All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. We do not hold pets for adoption or pickup at a later time.
-We do not transport or ship pets. All adoptions must take place in person at the shelter.
