About Stanley:
Hi, my name is Stanley!
I’m a tiny but mighty chihuahua mix (we think) that was transferred to TCPR from a shelter in Texas. I may be small, but don’t let that fool you – I have tons of puppy energy and a larger-than-life personality. I love to be carried and follow the humans around the house if they insist I keep all four paws on the ground. I spend my time rough-housing with my foster siblings, chasing squeaky toys, and snuggling in your arms or in the dog pile when all that playing tires me out.
I love to be around other dogs! I have cats in my foster home, and I ignore them. Kids are great (they match my energy) and I love meeting new human friends. I’m working on my potty and crate training and I’m getting better every day! My new family will have to continue to work on these skills with me. I’ve been introduced to leash walking, which is super confusing by the way, but I know I’ll get the hang of it! I also love all kinds of toys and playing chase with both people and other dogs.
My ideal home would be with a family who is ready to take on all things puppy! I have a very sweet personality, but my family will have to be committed to helping me learn my manners as I grow older. I would also love an older canine sibling to play with and show me the ropes. A fenced in yard would also be great! I promise to be your very own pint-sized sidekick if you’ll let me! I can’t wait to meet you!
Stanley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
