Urban is a lovebug! He adores his people and loves every interaction with you. Whether talking to him, signing to him, feeding him, giving him a treat, playing with him, sitting with him, petting him, grooming him, taking a short walk with him (he's good on leash!) or simply being in the same room or being in the same home together.
Urban is a very good boy. He "listens" and minds well. The only time he doesn't mind as much is when he's wanting to ignore his foster mom when she calls "time out" on his and his foster brother's wrestling matches. But once he realizes "time" really is being called, he goes along with it.
He is easy and laid back. He loves lying and watching his foster brothers and sisters (dogs - 3, and cats - 5).
He is a senior. The rescue can provide a better age than I (foster mom) can. I just have in mind over 10 years.
He is hearing impaired. They say he is deaf. He doesn't hear normal conversations and most noises. His foster dad and mom thinks either he can hear something, but we think it's reallly deep or reallly high, we're not sure, but every great once-in-a-while, he seems to react to something. Sometimes he wakes up and barks a few times. He quiets after "telling" him through seeing our mouths move and signing his name and "what?" 🫶. Sometimes, when he sleeps next to the fireplace, he'll wake up facing the glass doors. He'll bark. We think maybe he thinks another dog sneaked up on him and laid down by him while he was asleep, snd that dog startled him. He's all good after we smile and reassure him that he's barking at himself! Silly, sweet boy 😊💙.
Urban's like a lot of us seniors - we have a few pounds to lose. He's fed a set amount of dry food a day, much to his consternation since he's a foodie, and probably would have been a chef if he was a person! He will dance when you feed him! He, and the dancing, are ssooo cute! Sheer happiness!!! Of course, being a good boy does deserve a treat, so he gets cooked green beans (a big favorite!), some peanut butter (with his medicine, and Pure Pork Chomps pigskin roll-ups.
Urban is up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is neutered. He will be having a little medical done in the near future. But otherwise seems to be in relative good health for everything this wonderful boy's been through (being hit by a car earlier in life, grieveing the loss of his hooman mom, becoming a seasoned pup).
If you have a sweet spot for seasoned pups, Urban Legend will bring a satisfied smile to your lips and a joyful thunking in your heart because he is the whole package: smart, sweet, silly, soulful, and loving. 🫶🐾😎💗🐶

The Four Legged Ranch began in 2015. We are a experienced group of rescuers that have come together as a team to change lives of dogs at risk at high kill shelters. We focus on pit bulls and bully breeds, but we are open to help all breeds. Together we are changing their world and adding a new family member to yours.
