Weston is just past the puppy stage, likely a little over a year old, and he’s already mastered the basics like potty training. He still carries that joyful, romping energy of adolescence and is working hard on making good choices about what not to chew, though he’ll tell you that tissues in the trash are practically irresistible. A variety of toys and some gentle redirection go a long way with him.
He’s a fast learner who wants nothing more than to make his person proud. Weston looks to his human for approval and reassurance, and that deep bond is one of his most special qualities. Once he chooses you, he chooses you with his whole heart.
Weston is very timid with new people and new sounds. He startles easily at things like loud noises or unfamiliar sights. But treats, patience, and time help him open up. Because he’s had difficulty safely sharing food and toys with other dogs, Weston will do best as the only dog in his home. He’s also a bit anxious when his person leaves, but peanut butter Kongs are his go-to comfort item and help him settle.
He’s great in a fenced yard and unfazed by barking neighbor dogs. He’d be equally happy in an apartment, as long as he has a chance to burn off his puppy energy with playtime and walks. He loves to chase balls, even if he hasn’t quite figured out the “bring it back” part yet.

Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
