Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB 4/21/25
Purriest kitten ever. I've fostered over 45 kittens and this one is the purriest one I've encountered. He knows how not to purr as he first meows in the carrier until he settles down (I thought maybe his purr is stuck on ON).
Granite is compact and muscular, which probably comes from his first months living outside. There was no evidence of his mother or siblings, but somehow he had warmed up enough for a kind person to feed him. We had expected he would need more socialization, but no. Picked up he immediately starts to purr and appreciates human attention.
Granite is inquisitive, yet returns to his home bed, food, and litter box on his own, even when it is a bit difficult to get there. Nail clipping and brushing have begun well. Seems to eat whatever is put in front of him. Then he goes to play.
A fun cat ready to go to a furever home.
Because he was found alone, he needs to go into a home with another pet(s) already in place. He interacts well with new animals.

Adoption fee $100 for adult (over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for FIV/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home.
Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet.
Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier.
In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.
