This perfectly wonky cat is named Fanta, or Fanny! Fanny joined the rescue after spending most of her life as a community cat in Philadelphia. Her colony caretaker noticed that she wasn't caring for herself like usual and was likely not feeling well so worked to find her rescue placement. Fanta has since been caught up on veterinary care and is feeling better than ever. You'd never know this sweet girl spent most of her time living outdoors. Now that she's gotten a taste for the indoor-life, she's never going back!
We'd estimate Fanny to be around 10 years old and her quirky looks match her adorable personality. This sweet, little cat likely hasn't had the easiest life and has the physical scars to prove it. She has a crinkled ear from prior trauma and eye clouding due to scar tissue, likely caused by a severe cold or eye infection at some point. The good news is that these are purely cosmetic and cause her no vision or hearing issues. Fanny is making up for lost time and has quickly acclimated to her foster home. She loves to play fetch with mouse toys, loves to chirp and chat (and has the best old lady squeaky/creaky old lady meow) and is very affectionate with her foster family. She loves to sleep in bed with you and will climb up on your chest to make biscuits with her paws. Fanny is not currently living with other pets but has lived with/around other cats and could likely live with other low-key, friendly pets after an appropriate slow introduction.
Fanny has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue. She received a badly needed dental cleaning and extractions and was immediately treated for ringworm and GI parasites. This girl is looking and feeling like a whole new cat. All she's missing now is the perfect home. Fanny is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire.
