Meet Bear - a big, handsome lovebug! This 2-3 year old Shepherd mix is around 70 pounds, but don't tell him--he's convinced he's a tiny lap dog. If you sit down, he'll happily squeeze in beside you, paws on your lap and his big head tucked into your arms for snuggles. Saved at the very last moment from Polk County Shelter by BarkVille Dog Rescue, this handsome boy is now ready for his happily-ever-after. He's smart as a whip, already knows his basic commands, and with his love of snacks, he's more than willing to learn new tricks--especially if it involves treats or belly rubs! He enjoys daily walks, would love a nice backyard to explore, and is a great passenger on car rides (he literally rode cheek-to-cheek with his rescuer on the way out of the shelter, grinning the whole time). This sweet boy adores people and other dogs, though he's not a fan of cats. He's house trained, crate trained (though he'd much prefer to be with you instead), fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Above all, he just wants to be close to his people and shower them with love.
