Rocky is a big, goofy, 4.5-yr-old boy with a huge purr and so much love to give! If you are a patient person that wants a cat that likes both his alone time and play time than he is the boy for you.
Rocky is a shy and scared initially, and will need a separate room to decompress for the first month. Once comfortable he’s playful, curious, and loves chasing wiggle toys, birdwatching from the window, and being brushed (his absolute favorite thing)!
When he’s feeling lovey (a lot of the time), he’ll rub around your legs, walk over you and lay down next to you.
He loves his cat bed and getting under and on the blankets and laying with his person.
He has energy to burn and needs playtime during the day to keep him happy and balanced.
He is comfortable being picked up, getting his nails trimmed, and being generally handled. He will communicate by chirping when he does not want to be picked up or touched.

We are a group of dedicated volunteers in Burlington, VT with a focus on rescuing and caring for stray and abandoned cats in our community. We provide safe, loving foster homes for cats of all ages until they are adopted. They receive socialization, a nutritious diet, any necessary vet care (including spay/neuter surgery) and lots of TLC while in our care. We do our best to find the right home for each cat considering their unique personalities and ongoing needs. We also offer resources, advice and support to cat caretakers in our area.
