My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎄 Dear Santa Paws… Please Bring Me a Forever Home! 🎅🐾
Meet Kitt — the big black cat with an even bigger personality!

This holiday season, Kitt isn’t asking Santa Paws for toys or treats…
✨He’s wishing for a person with room in their home (and heart) for a goofy, loving, loyal companion.✨

Kitt’s current situation is rough — he’s alone in a small room because the other cats in his overcrowded foster home taunt him. He cries for company and can’t understand why he suddenly lost his home at 6 years old. He just wants to be with people again, stretch out, enjoy freedom, and be part of the holiday action.

And honestly? He’d be an amazing companion for a bachelor who wants a funny, social, slightly chaotic wingman.

🔥 Why Kitt Is the Perfect Wingman:
• Serious panther vibes — sleek, handsome, unforgettable
• Social, chatty, and always ready to hype you up
• Head bunts like the world’s most enthusiastic fist bump
• Flops at your feet with “bro, you busy?” energy
• Loves when you head bunt him back — your secret handshake
• Food-motivated (same, bro)
• A+ at late-night conversations
• Athletic jumps + wand toys = his jam
• Deeply loyal once he bonds
• Dog-friendly! (and possibly tolerant of a cat or two… as long as he’s still the boss)

🏡 His Ideal Setup:
Kitt wants to be the main man.
No small kids. No alpha cats.
Just you, him, and the bromance of the century.

📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL — transport available up to 2 hours.

Kitt is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and 100% ready to go home.

If you’re looking for a hilarious, affectionate, ride-or-die buddy…
🍻 Kitt is ready to be your wingman, your couch buddy, and your best bro.

💛 Don’t let him spend another year alone when he could be spending it with you.

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable animals are fostered in loving homes throughout Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding area. Because we do not operate a physical shelter, meet-and-greets are arranged by appointment only—typically after an adoption application has been submitted and approved.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama with transport locations throughout the Great Lakes and New England. FOR is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2009.

Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from overcrowded Southern shelters where limited space, minimal funding, and high intake rates often lead to euthanasia.

We are not professional trainers or animal behaviorists—just dedicated individuals working together to give these animals a second chance. Every pet in our program lives in a loving foster home and receives age-appropriate veterinary care while awaiting adoption.

Our ultimate goal is to match each animal with a committed, compassionate individual or family who will provide a FORever home.
