Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Enid! Enid is a GORGEOUS sable German Shepherd that is a little over a year old (We think!). She came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed by an owner. Unfortunately, we found out during her spay -- and after feeling a hard lump on her leg -- that she had a very bad break in her femur from before we received her that was never treated. Poor Enid must have been in immense pain until it "healed" inappropriately on its own. After all this, she remains resilient, and still is able to use her leg without issues, most days! If she over does it, she appears to favor the limb and will likely need to be on life long pain management as needed, and would benefit from continued joint supplements. She weighs about 55 lbs at this time. Enid has gotten pretty dog reactive here during her stay (due to kennel stress, unfortunately), but was dog friendly when she arrived, so, we think she will do fine with the right dogs and appropriate SLOW introductions. She would not do well with cats. She is friendly with humans, but no young children for this girl, please! While she appears to understand housetraining, and potties outside, she does still have accidents in the kennel. She LOVES tennis balls and has good ball drive. Enid is also extremely trainable and will thrive in a home that has Shepherd experience. Her adoption fee is just $75! She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and will go home with her "as needed" pain management and joint supplements so new owners will have time to schedule with their vet to get her established.
