Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Serena — the Sweet, Shy Beauty
Serena is a gentle, timid girl who needs a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she becomes a total lovebug. She craves human connection and happily soaks up every bit of affection. Everyone who meets her comments on her beauty, and she’s finally starting to believe it.
Serena recently returned from foster care, and her foster mom had nothing but wonderful things to say. At just over a year old, she still has that fun puppy energy and would love a big backyard to run in, along with daily walks or adventures. She gets along with dogs of all sizes but plays more confidently with larger ones.
This smart girl knows her basic commands and is fully crate trained—tell her to go to her “house,” and she trots right in. She’s housebroken and lets you know when she needs to go out. Serena is decent on leash but does pull, so she’ll need a bit more practice (one volunteer even takes her on short runs).
She loves enrichment toys and her morning snuffle mat. She’s a bit of a toy destroyer—except for JoyHound Roarin toys, which remain undefeated.
Serena is nervous around water and needs patience with baths, but her sweet personality makes up for it tenfold. Her favorite thing in the world is snuggling. She just wants to love and be loved.
Come meet Serena—this shy sweetheart is ready to blossom with the family she’s been waiting for.
Serana has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out her playgroup video here:
To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
