12/4 update from foster: "Charlie is doing great - he’s happy, healthy and a good balance of active and sleeps like a cat."
11/15 update from foster: "He is doing great! I think he’s a little lonely without Sunny but he is super friendly, playful, likes attention & wants to be nearby people. He purrs a lot. He loves playing with strings, toys, boxes and paper bags. He tolerates being picked up and sitting on laps so we are working on doing that more so he gets more comfortable with it."
Charlie is a beautiful young boy. He is very affectionate and purrs on demand with any attention. He is very playful and inquisitive. He loves to show off his beautiful toes and nails! Perfect tabby markings….he is a specimen!
Charlie can be adopted with or without Sunny.
Charlie has made the journey up from San Antonio, Texas to Colorado in South Denver, available to meet!
Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa.
Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio.

Submit foster application if you only wish to foster, and an adoption application if you wish to adopt or foster with the intent of adoption
Meet the Pet
After your app is submitted, we will reach out to have a conversation and schedule a time for you to meet the pet
Approve Application
If you decide to move forward after the meet and greet we will officially approve your application
Take the Pet Home
After your app is approved, we will complete foster or adoption paperwork and you will take the pet home
