We do not do same day adoptions.
Adoption steps
- Meet the PetIf you see a pet you are interested in, please come by the shelter Monday- Friday from 9am-4pm to meet the pet you are interested in.
- Submit ApplicationIf you have another dog they will need to meet the dog you are interested in. You will need to fill out an adoption application next.
- Approve ApplicationWe will now review your application and either approve it or not. If approved, you will be contacted about picking up your new animal.
- Take the Pet HomeYou will be able to take your new pet home now! We do have an adoption fee of $25 exact cash or check.

We do the monthly adoption events with Sanctuary Rescue at their Hull Street Rd location known as Liz's Place. 16916 Hull Street Road, Moseley, Va 23120. This event is held the first Saturday of every month between 10 am and 1 pm.
