Name’s Shortstop — and just like my name suggests, I’ve got speed, agility, and the kind of athleticism that would make any major league scout stop in their tracks. I’m a compact black Netherland Dwarf, built low to the ground with lightning-fast moves and high-flying binkies. I don’t just run the bases — I own the field.
Whether I’m sprinting in circles, darting through cardboard tunnels, or throwing in some mid-air binkies, I bring the energy of an entire team. And after the game? I’ll slide into home plate with a perfect sploot. That’s my signature move.
I’m not really the team-player type — more like the lone MVP. I don’t need a bond mate and I’m perfectly happy being the only bunny in the home stadium. Other animals? Haven’t met ‘em, and I’m not too eager to. I like having the run of the field all to myself. That said, I do like people, especially once I know you're on my team. I’m a bit of a “catch-me-if-you-can” kind of guy — I’d rather keep things moving than sit still — but once you’ve got me, I’ll accept pets and ear rubs like a pro.
I’ve got a solid pre-game routine: breakfast and dinner on schedule, followed by floor time when it’s my turn. Right now, I share the field with three other foster bunnies, so we rotate our playtime. But when it’s my inning, I make the most of it — and I can go all night without getting into trouble. I don’t chew furniture (unless it’s wooden — cover your bases there), and I don’t jump on couches. But cords and tempting corners should still be bunny-proofed, just in case.
My favorite toys are the ones I can really go to town on. Give me a timothy mat and I’ll shred it like a paper trophy. I also love tunnels, crinkle tubes, and especially my Snak Shak chew tube. I’ve got a champion’s palate too — I munch on a mix of Timothy and Orchard hay, plus pellets from Oxbow and Selective Science. Spring mix greens are a hit, and for a treat, I’ll never turn down an apple slice or an Orchard Loop. I’ve got perfect litter box habits — my dugout is always clean. Grooming’s easy too. A weekly brushing keeps my sleek black coat in top form.
What kind of home am I looking for? A quiet, consistent dugout with fans who enjoy watching me play, and who respect that I like to do things my own way. I may start with a little fortress-of-solitude attitude, but underneath, I’ve got a heart that’s ready to belong — if you’re patient enough to earn it.
If you’ve been waiting for a compact powerhouse with personality, spirit, and charm to spare, I think it’s time you called me safe — at your home.

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
