Hello world! My name is Se-mi. I’m a beautiful calico cat just under a year old, and I’m ready to find my forever home!
I had two kittens, Thanos and Nam-gyu, and the three of us were rescued from the streets of Hamtramck and brought into foster care. Our foster parents took amazing care of us, got us all the medical attention we needed, and let our real personalities shine.
Now that we’re all healthy, vetted, and fixed, we’re ready for our forever homes. And let me tell you, I’m just as much a kitten as my little ones! I love to play, cuddle, make biscuits, eat treats, and enjoy all the wet food I can get. Usually, my kittens will wrestle and play with me, swatting at my tail like I’m the fun big kitten in the family. We’re one happy little crew, and they love to come by and snuggle up with me.
I know that finding a home for all three of us together might be a challenge, and that’s okay. I’d absolutely love it if we could all stay together, but I’m also perfectly happy living with another cat. I’m very cat-friendly and I’ll be your best companion ever.
Please apply to meet me at my foster home and see why I’m the most perfect cat in the world!
Se-mi is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
