Hello, my name is Poppy. About a year ago, my foster family found me abandoned at a dumpster. My foster mom thinks this caused me some anxiety, and that’s why riding in a car or walking outside alone at night scares me. Luckily, We’ve found that as long as I am on a leash with a person near, I’m not as scared of the dark anymore.
My foster family vaccinated me, leash-trained me, house-trained me, had me spayed, and I’m on monthly flea/tick/heart-worm prevention. I’m about 2 years-old. I already had a micro-chip when they found me, but it’s blank.
I’m a smaller pit mix, about 45 lbs., and a little bigger than a Boston Terrier in height and length. I LOVE my tough chew toys, playing tug-a-war with any toy, digging in sand, “talking,” and I’m a great cuddler! I love to be pet and hugged.
I’d love to find a home where I can be the only in-door pet so I’m not nervous, and can be given lots of attention. I love snuggling in a soft blanket, and I’m told I’m smart and loyal to my people.
