If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Julep was a stray my friends had found - she seems to be a domestic cat originally because she was microchipped with an out-of-date contact. I offered to take care of her, but after significant attempts, she is not acclimating to my resident cats.
As a territorial kitty, she feels scared and threatened by other cats. Unsure how she would do with dogs, but I find it unlikely. She loves being around people and is incredibly affectionate and sweet.
What she needs is someone who has **no other pets,** can give her attention, and has the space for her to be cozy (cat trees by windows and hiding holes underneath beds or in closets). She truly wants a lot of company and love. I haven't been able to get her to play, but a more supportive environment would likely make her more active!
