My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes, dog-savvy cats
Good with kids: Yes, dog-savvy older children
Crate trained: Yes
House trained: Yes

Millie is a quiet and cuddly housemate. She is an active, medium-energy pup, where she enjoys playing with other pups or  followed by lounging around the house shortly after. She excels at entertaining herself chewing bones and tossing and chasing her ball. Millie is very smart and eager to please, looking for a calm home who's excited to teach her some new tricks.

She enjoys running, wrestling, and playing keep away with her dog friends. Millie has interacted well with dog-savvy cats, largely ignoring them, and would do fine with or without one in the home. She has gotten along fine with older, dog-savvy kids who give her some time and space to meet them on her own terms. Millie would make for a great companion.

She is fully crate trained and snoozes away the day between meals, walks and playtime. Millie has no issues with house training and knows to go outside. She walks well on leash and enjoys her daily strolls. Millie loves her walks and takes time to stop and investigate all of the sights and smells of nature. She is very good in the car and will jump in and out on her own and would love to be included in adventures!

Millie's striking eyes and fun-loving personality will have you falling in love with her in no time- are you ready to welcome her home?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
