Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Titanic has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts him.
Ty was found outside in February 2024 and adopted into an indoor home that April. While he loved being indoors, he began having litterbox issues. Instead of working through them, his adopter returned him to us—and we are so grateful they did. Within just 48 hours, Ty developed a potentially fatal urethral obstruction. Thanks to quick medical care, he pulled through and is now thriving in his foster home in York, PA.
When Ty returned, he weighed a staggering 24 pounds. With a prescription diet and good care, he is already down to 19 pounds but still has about 5-6 pounds to lose. Ty’s urinary health and weight must be carefully managed, which means he will need a dedicated adopter committed to keeping him on his prescription diet (Hill’s C/D Metabolic). An over-the-counter diet is not acceptable for his medical needs. His urinations will also need to be closely monitored for his continued well-being.
Despite his medical challenges, Ty is an absolute sweetheart. He’s a true lovebug who thrives on affection and makes a wonderful lap cat—if you don’t mind the extra weight! Ty has a gentle, docile nature and especially enjoys the company of children. He adores stuffed catnip toys, and he’ll happily let anyone hold him like a baby.
This big guy also loves to be part of daily life, often following his people around the house. He’s so devoted that he sometimes becomes a little tripping hazard as he stands close by your legs! Ty enjoys watching birds and squirrels out the window, and despite his size, he can be surprisingly athletic and agile.
Most of all, Ty is overflowing with love, and he will reward his forever family with endless affection and companionship.
Highlights:
• Large, handsome boy (currently 19 lbs, still losing weight)
• Requires prescription diet (Hill’s C/D Metabolic) – NO substitutions
• Needs ongoing monitoring for urinary health
• Affectionate, docile, and good with children
• Loves to be held like a baby
• Enjoys stuffed catnip toys, bird-watching, and following his people
• Athletic and agile despite his size
Titanic is currently living at a foster home in York, PA.
Ty’s adoption donation is $90 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing (Ty has tested negative), microchip, and neuter.
