My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Victor is an approximately 1 year old, 20 lb altered male Terrier and maybe Chihauhua mix that joined us from Hawaii on 9/18/2025. He has the most expressive eyes and smile, guaranteed to make you melt. He gets along with other dogs but is more of a "people dog" and loves to snuggle. We will share more about Victor as we get to know him in foster care.

Foster Update:  Victor is a sweet pup. He can be a bit shy at first, but will happily follow you from place to place when he's certain that you're his "person.” He seems to have a fairly low to moderate energy level, is easily engaged with toys, and quick to relax in comfortable spots. He walks well on leash and is good in his crate. Victor is very respectful of our resident dog and will likely do best as an only dog or with another neutral pup. Potty training is a work in progress as he’s not sure yet about going potty on a leash, so at least for now a fenced yard will help, but we are working on that! Victor is food motivated and responds well to basic commands such as sit and come. He has the cutest grunts when he just wants his food!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.

Animal History: This dog was rescued from Three Ring Ranch in Hawaii, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 09/18/25. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
