My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ruby!

This little gem lives up to her name - bright, dazzling, and impossible not to love. Her age is a bit of a mystery but based on her teeth we think she is somewhere between 5 and 6 months old. While she may be tiny (still only 17lbs!) she’s also definitely mighty. She’s officially fully vaccinated and ready for her forever family.

Ruby is being fostered by a local dog trainer and is working hard on mastering the basics. She’s crate and mostly house trained - puppies will of course still have accidents from time to time. She’s learning about manners around food, “sit”, “down” and is just starting to practice foundational leash skills. She gets to be part of a day school program and has been exposed to a variety of environments, dogs and people and is currently loving adventure days the most!

She would love an active family who’s ready to do all the fun things with her! She would be great fit for a first time dog owner and would be a good fit for a home with or without other pets. If you’re looking for a sidekick with boundless energy and a sparkle in her step… Ruby’s your girl.

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
